O. J. Lehman appears to be Oliver J. Lehman of Bethania, NC. Most likely a cornetist in the 33rd Regimental Band of the Confederate Army, during the Civil War. After the war, he was the owner/operator of the O. J. Lehman & Co. plug and twist tobacco factory. Perhaps even the Bethania Postmaster for a time.
Salem Female Academy was the original name of Salem College in Winston-Salem, NC.
6.3 x 10.5 cm on cardstock. Reverse side is blank. Very Good condition.
