• This item is a real ostrich egg measuring about 5in tall and 6in wide (egg only). When on display on its stand, the whole thing measures 7.5in tall and 8-.5in wide. This egg was first painted blue on the inside to help give it a 3-D look as with a blue sky; glitter was sprinkled over the wet paint to give it a night-time "starry" look.. Once the paint was dry, I was able to insert the figurines in with lots of naturals around it to give the manger scene that finished look. I then used lots of sphagnum moss here and there to accent the top and bottom of the egg; leaving parts of the egg in its natural state prior to the decorating. The egg is permanently glued to the burlwood piece, which is also permanently glued to the flat piece of walnut. All of the wood is then covered with sphagnum moss with more figurines placed in different spots.

• This beautiful collectible would make a wonderful birthday, anniversary or Christmas gift!! It is a OOAK because I have made no others exactly like it nor were any molds made from it! The design is also mine! It is best to place this display in an area that is free from sunlight and up away from children and animals....such as a mantle, dresser, curio cabinet or bookshelf! Also, because glue is involved in this design, keep it away from heat sources (including overhead return vents from your heater)!

• Remember, this collecible item is still an egg and should be treated as such! It CAN break if dropped or knocked over! And because it is an egg, it has to be wrapped in bubble wrap and completely surrounded by styrofoam peanuts inside a large shipping box. ANY egg HAS TO travel via Priority Mail...regardless of how big or small!! This assures delivery in the fastest possible time at a reasonable cost (any moneys collected for shipping that I don't use will be refunded after the label has been made up)! Insurance is also included...a MUST against loss or damage!! I've shipped over 300 eggs all over the world in this manner and have lost only 3 in over 10 years....and those WERE NOT due to faulty packing!!!

• I combine shipping on multiple items when possible. This item though is not eligible for that! It has to be shipped in a Priority large flat-rate box encased in tissue paper and bubble wrap and surrounded by packing peanuts to ensure safe delivery. I will pay for insurance and file any paperwork necessary IF there is a postal mishap (customer receives a full refund after item and all packing material is turned in to their post office)! NOT for shipping outside the U.S.
