The stone in this piece (yes, it is a stone, although it looks like a painting) reminds me of a crowded collage of leaves, flowers, plants, and birds deep in the rain forest (not that I've ever been, but how I'd imagine it). The stone is a vibrant picasso jasper. I have set this stone in sterling silver and surrounded it with bird of paradise flowers and leaves, constructed from sterling silver, brass, and copper. The back side of the piece has flowers carved out of it and brass leaves are layered between the sterling and the stone.

This piece is hefty, measuring 2-3/4" wide by 2.5" long and hangs from a 16.5" sterling chain that can be adjusted to 19.5" long. The chain is decorated with jasper rondelles and sterling beads and closes with a lobster clasp.

If the chain length needs further adjustment, I am always happy to do so.
