More about this item
Federal Glass quarter pound butter dish with lid. Marked with F in shield, Federal Glass Co. mark. This mark was first used in 1932. Federal Glass closed down in 1980. I have seen butter dishes in this same pattern without the end tabs. This style with the tabs is probably older than the other version. Have been unable to identify the pattern name, but it is similar to Park Avenue. Since this butter dish is crystal colored, it will display well with any vintage tableware. The sign of age on the bottom of the tray will not show up when filled with butter, but it does show how old it is. It's fun to collect old kitchen Americana when it can actually be used. Size: about 2.25 inches tall; bottom 7.5 inches long, 3.25 inches wide Condition: Old. Tabs on bottom are flea bitten. Top is excellent, no chips or cracks. Bottom is abraded from years of use and age. USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. Consider making more than one purchase to save on shipping.
