Ted Williams (August 30, 1918 - July 5, 2002), also known as "The Kid" and "The Splendid Splinter," is one of the greatest hitters in the history of baseball. He played for nineteen seasons with the Boston Red Sox between 1939 and 1960. An inductee into the Baseball Hall of Fame, he is also a two-time American League Most Valuable Player (1946 and 1949) and was named Player of the Decade for 1951-1960. His lifetime batting average is .344 and his lifetime slugging average is .634. On September 28, 1960, Williams ended his career - by batting a home run.

Dr. Burczyk has since retired. He is an author and former lecturer and radio/TV personality.
A Dr. Burczyk certified autograph usually has a label affixed to the item with printed date of examination and Dr. Nicholas Burczyk's signature. This was in addition to an accompanying certificate, which was rather plain in appearance.
