Jewelry crafted from wire is said have first appeared in ancient Egypt. Wire-sculpted jewelry, however, is a new and innovative technique of working with wire to form jewelry. Care of 14kt. Rolled Gold Jewelry
It's easy. Just care for it as you would any other jewelry. It is quite durable. A simple inexpensive way to clean rolled gold jewelry is to use an old soft bristle toothbrush, mild detergent and warm water. Rinse the jewelry thoroughly with warm water and let dry.
Remember this is NOT gold plate and in many cases is handed down from generation to generation. It is not unusual to find an old gold filled pendant, ring, earrings or bracelet that is nearly 75 years old! Shell & Agate Cameos need only to be cleaned in mild soap and water no commercial cleaners!

14 Kt Rolled gold wire (gold filled)------This metal was used extensively in the 1800's and is very strong and durable. It is not "gold plate." The process of making the wire is to create one 14 Kt tube with a semi-precious metal core made by bonding with heat and pressure.
Sterling Silver wire (.925 silver)------This is normally used in the construction of sterling jewelry. It is beautiful and very economical
Argentium Sterling Silver - It is comprised of 92.5% Sterling Silver & 7.5% germanium. Tarnish-resistant due to heating of the layer of germanium oxide mixed with the Sterling Silver.
SPECIAL NOTE*** Some people who were unable to wear traditional sterling silver jewelry because of skin reactions find that they are aable to wear Argentium@ Sterling Silver without any problems.
