More about this item

Handwritten deed, Jackson, NH 1849

This is a handwritten legal document which I think transfers property from Samuel Copp to George Hackett on July 17, 1849.  The document is signed by Abril(?) L. Eastman and William H. Eastman and Samuel Copp on the inside and John S. Roby on the front.

The paper is an unusal greenish tint with no watermarks.  Two pages of this paper are connected by adhesive to make the full document.  There is some smoke damage on one area of the paper, which may be from a house fire.  The entire document is approx 8" x 16".
