Circa: 1890's. Condition: Excellent. Size: 28H x 19L x 17W inches. Weight:8 pounds Manufacturer: Heywood Bros. and Wakefield Co. and has original stamp. This is an ornate antique Victorian light jadite green painted wicker sewing stand. The top is hinged with overall flat weaving framed by braiding and decorated half circle loop panels and braid trimming. The sides are very shapely with a matching loop design and framed by braiding. The basket is large and roomy. The lid has a 1/2 inch diameter knob. Below the sides are curlicue scrolled supports and wood turned posts followed by an open basket bottom that measures 10 x 13 x 2 inches. Curlicue supports attach to splayed wood turned legs. The top swing bale handle has cane wrapping and attached via 2 inch wide original wood knobs. The finish is a very nice light mint green color.
