Up for your purchase are two (2) Hutschenreuther Selb China (Bavaria Germany) Round & Oval Covered Casseroles. The round casserole measures 7 ½" in diameter x 2 ½" deep. The oval casserole measures 9 1/4" long x 6 ½" wide x 2 1/4" deep. These round and oval covered casseroles are in very good condition and have no chips, cracks or crazing, stains, discoloration or rim wear. They bear the Hutschenreuther Selb back stamp on the bottom. These round and oval covered casseroles would make wonderful serving dishes for your holiday meals or make a great Christmas present.

The original Hutschenreuther porcelain company was opened in 1814. Carolus Magnus Hutschenreuther wanted to open the first privately owned porcelain factory in Germany.

In 1857, Carolus son, Lorenz Hutschenreuther opened another porcelain producing facility in the town of Selb. Lorenz marketed his dinnerware services aggressively. Hutschenreuther of Selb became the first German firm to be able to compete with such companies as Haviland and Wedgwood.

I always wash and thoroughly check all my glassware before it is shipped. Each item is bubble wrapped and I use recycled styrofoam to try to keep shipping expenses as low as possible for my buyers.

I researched different methods of shipping and have found UPS to be cost effective as well as, in my opinion, the safest way to ship anything fragile. Everything shipped via UPS is automatically insured up to $100.00 so it adds additional protection for myself as the seller, as well as the buyer.
