In The World 5: Fire! California and Iraq, is the fifth in my series "In The World." I hope the paintings evoke connection, and maybe a strong feeling in the viewer. It is based on press photos by Bruce Chambers, La Fonzo Rachel, and Slahaldeen Rasheed. The contrast of beauty and terror continues with this painting, but now the two places share the terror, but the source continues to be different, while the beauty lies in the fire itself.
This is 24 (h) by 36 (w) inches, acrylic on stretched canvas on heavy duty stretchers, with painted sides. A frame is not necessary. The painting is signed and dated on the back. I send a letter of provenance which increases the value of the work. All my artwork is copyrighted by Eleanor Gilpatrick. Copyright is nontransferable through the purchase of artwork.
