In The World 8: Iraq and Saratoga, is the eighth in my series "In The World." I hope the paintings evoke connection, and maybe a strong feeling in the viewer. The image of soldiers walking in Iraq amid a sand storm and the smoke of war is contrasted with Saratoga, New York, when the blossoms appear. The Iraq scene is adapted from a press photo by Misha Japandze.
This is 22 (h) by 28 (w) inches, acrylic on stretched canvas on heavy duty stretchers, with painted sides. A frame is not necessary. The painting is signed and dated on the back. I send a letter of provenance which increases the value of the work. All my artwork is copyrighted by Eleanor Gilpatrick. Copyright is nontransferable through the purchase of artwork.
