This porcelain bowl is covered along the sides in brass. It measures 7-1/2" wide and 1-1/2" tall/deep. It features a gold, white, and melon (pink/orange) color scheme. The back is stamped "Japanese Porcelain Ware - Decorated In Hong Kong - A.C.F."
There are a few pretty significant dents in the brass (see photos). One set of dents appears to have been put there on purpose. It looks like a name, but I can't make it out.
From the research I've been able to do, this piece is likely from the 1950's, and is definitely from before 1970. I have been unable to find another one quite like it, so it's really a nice find.
No chips, no cracks, this item is in good but vintage condition. Will be very carefully packaged for shipping to assure safe arrival!
