This is a beautiful Indian quilt made from 4-6 layers of vintage cotton sarees. This reversible hand stitched Kantha quilt has the primary colors of yellow and green. About Kantha: Kantha is a centuries old traditional embroidery art form from India.  Kantha quilts and shawls are made from multiple (usually 4-6) cotton and sometimes silk sarees. They are joined together using simple running stitches in a lengthwise fashion.  These simple running stitches form the basis of Kantha embroidery.
