1909-2000 Print from France Numbered Limited Edition

Up forsale, we have this beautiful, original lithograph by Maurice Buffet. He was a French artist who lived from 1909 to 2000. The artist has SIGNED this piece in pencil in the lower right corner. It is ALSO NUMBERED--215/275 in pencil in the lower left corner. Nicely matted and framed. Please see pictures.
Famed art critic Philippe Thomas said of Buffet, "...his symblic surrealism addresses both what is real and what is imaginary. This artist is an exceptional figure among French comtemporary artists". Of course this was written before his death, now his works should be more valuable.
This is an interesting seascape of what looks to be a swamp or delta waterway at low tide, with a few boats or canoes in it. Lovely shades of orange, brown, beige. It measures about 25" x 19" including the frame. The lithograph area inside the matting measures about 12" x 18 1/2".
This print includes a Certificate of Authenticity on the back with a raised seal. See pictures, please. It reads, "AUTHENTICATION Societe de Verification de la Nouvelle Gravure Internationale of New York and Paris certifies and warrants that this is an original lithograph numbered and limited to an edition of 275, created and individually signed by the artist. The Society further verifies that each lithographic stone has been defaced after the limited edition was completed. The Societe de Verification de la Nouvelle Gravure has been created by The Collector’s Guild Ltd. to set and uphold the highest standards for original lithographs and etchings." It is also translated to the French.

We may use a third party insurer & that amount will not show on your package. We are not accountable for lost or damaged/rifled items, but will assist with a claim. All packaging must be saved and we must be notified immediately. If the box looks damaged, you many refuse it and return to sender.
