Most of the Mata Ortiz potters hand paint their pottery freehand with no measurements or sketches, which makes every pot a one-of-a-kind! This spectacular Red Dazzler pot was crafted by Manual Olivas, one of the best potters of Mata Ortiz! Manual Olivas has been profiled in the book "The Story of Casas Grandes Pottery" by Rich Cahill. Manual Olivas hand-painted free-hand every part of this amazing pot! The cream color against the earthen red background is simply stunning!
This sensational Mata Ortiz Red Dazzler pot measures about 5-1/4" tall x 5-1/2" wide. The mouth opening is about 4" round. Signed on the bottom by Mata Ortiz pottery artisan Manual Olivas. (Pottery stand not included).
