Condition: Very Good Vintage. No Chips, no cracks, no crazing, no stains, no stir marks, colours are strong. Some surface wear to transfer pattern. No maker's marks.
This wonderful historic mug commemorates a Coronation Day that NEVER HAPPENED! Edward abdicated for Mrs Simpson in Dec 1936, yet the mugs were printed & issued PRIOR to this announcement! Great piece of history!! Mug belonged to my mother & was well cared for - on display only. (the other commemorative mug pictured in the last photo is listed separately).
