This is the Myerchin model B001P, Offshore System Pro fixed blade knife with marlin spike. This model is used extensively by the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard. 440 High Carbon Stainless Steel 75/25 Serrated/Traditional Ground Blade. Blade has grooves on back for thumb slip resistance.
Beautiful black micarta handle which can be scrimshawed with white India ink.
Full tang construction.
Sheath - Cordura/ballistic nylon with velcro can be worn on belt vertical, horizontal or laced to a harness or gear. Securely holds knife and spike.
INDIVIDUALLY SERIAL NUMBERED blade with Myerchin whale logo clearly etched on one side.
Spike features shackle slot. Spike is used as a wedge in order to open tight knots in rope or line.
