Every now and then I make a piece that amazes me ("did I really make this?"). This is one of those pieces. Something came over me when I made this necklace and it is one of the most unique and striking of my creations. When I first made it, I thought it would be limited in what it would match... somehow this piece goes with so many different colors, I am surprised by it's versatility.
The necklace down to the ring measures approximately 24 inches in length. From the top of the ring to the longest crystal dangle measures 3.5 inches.
Starting at the back, two dangles (a Braingels trademark) surround a gunmetal lobster clasp. The necklace, a knotted silk cord, has stations throughout composed of amethyst, onyx, agate, gunmetal chain, Swarovski crystals faux pearls and glass. Two striking matrix agate beads (also known as dragon vein agate), approximately 1.25" in diameter, are truly one of the focal points of this piece.
The center ring, composed of russian serpentine, can also be used to hold eyeglasses. Dangling from the bottom of that ring are several dangles artistically composed of crystal, smoky topaz, onyx and tiger eye beads.
Onyx is said to enhance self mastery, steadfastness, and determination, to help set ones mind to a task. It is a grounding stone and can be used to deflect or absorb the negativity of others, and in that way is a good stone for protection from negative forces and influences.
Amethyst is a stone of the mind. It helps to bring calmness and clarity where there is anxiety and confusion. Wear Amethyst if you want to get in touch with your intuition, your feelings, or your values. Amethyst helps one learn of all things spiritual, mystic and psychic. Especially aids sobriety; alcohol, food, sex, and other addictions.
Agates foster love, abundance, wealth, good luck, longevity, acceptance, courage, protection, balance, harmony, generosity, strength, security and appreciation of nature. Agates are considered Power Stones. The are very grounding, solid and stable. All Agates have excellent protective and healing energy, and stimulate analytical capabilities and precision.
Topaz is said to promote individuality and creativity while providing self confidence in your own decisions. Helps to remove doubts about your decisions, and promotes the expression of ideas. Topaz acts as a catalytic trigger, and activates the laws of attraction and manifestation of your desires. It helps one to creatively change ones personal world. Topaz is particularly powerful when combined with Amethyst. As the topaz activates the laws of attraction and manifestation, the amethyst transforms the energies into spiritual vibrations to produce a soothing, clearing and stabilizing effect.
