MONCLER HISTORY

Moncler was founded in 1952 by Rene RamiHon in MONestier de CLERmont, a locality in the region of Grenoble from which the name was derived.

MONCLER is immediately associated with great expeditions as the supplier of equipment: in 1954 for the Italian expedition on the climb of the Karakorum. in 1955 for the French expedition which conquered the Makalu and in 1964 in Alaska which was organized by Lionel Terray. world famous alpinist and friend of the founders. In 1968 MONCLER was the official supplier of the French National Alpine Skiing Team who participated at the Winter Olympics which were held in Grenoble. The rooster. MONCLER's symbol, also reminds this period.
