This is a fantastic vintage Ingot Sterling Silver and Turquoise bracelet ring set created sometime in the 1950s by a skilled Native American artisan!
This gorgeous set features a heavy gauge hand hammered sterling silver bracelet and ring set with top grade and rare Ithaca Peak turquoise cabs. These hand cut turquoise cabs were set in handmade sterling silver sawtooth bezels and placed on a heavy gauge sterling four band cuff in a cluster style. Thick hand twisted sterling rope and large sterling silver dots adds more fabulous details. The sides are adorned with a half moon shaped cluster of turquoise and silverwork. The ring follows the same cluster pattern with hand cut pieces of Ithaca turquoise and heavy silverwork. This fantastic heavy sterling and turquoise bracelet measures approx 2 3/4" wide and will fit wrist sizes from 6 1/2" to 7 1/2". Can be slightly adjusted for a custom fit. The ring measures about 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" and is a size 10. Size could be reduced with a ring guard. The pieces are unsigned, as was typical of the jewelry of that era, but guaranteed to be Native American made, most likely Navajo. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. RP$3999
* Creating ingot sterling silver jewelry is a long and tedious process that not many artisans do today. Back in the old days, skilled artisans would melt their own silver down, pour into a handmade mold and hammer the silver piece into shape before spending hours cutting, polishing and setting the stones. The resulting jewelry are usually heavier and more substantial than the current offerings. Only a very few Native American artisans in todays times use this technique. *
*The Ithaca Peak mine is located in northwestern Arizona above the Kingman mine. The Ithaca Peak mine is famous for its beautiful blue with pyrite matrix. This material is outstanding. It is owned and operated by the Colbaugh's. It is fairly rare to get good Ithaca Peak as main production is focused on Turquoise Mountain. When you do get good Ithaca Peak it tends to be very pricey! *
