 Old Stoneware Crock with Blue Stripes and Bail.

 This crock was obviously hand turned.  The inside is rippled.
       It has some small defects in the original clay,
           and the applied blue stripes were smeared when applied, before the final glaze.
           [I can just hear the potter saying a few choice words over that one.]
  The signs of wear show that it is very old.  
       The bail has marked the rim on both sides by rubbing on it.
       Unglazed rim and bottom.  The inside is lightly glazed.  Outside shiny glaze.

  Size:  just over 10 inches tall, rim 9 inches diameter.  Weight:  8 lbs., 12 oz. unpacked.
    Condition:   Very good.  Hairline crack on rim about 2 inches long.
             I have thoroughly cleaned this crock, but it shows it age.
        This is listed as an antique, although I do not know its age or maker.  
             It is obviously quite old.  Not marked.
