Dimensions: Framed = 9 1/4 inches x 7 1/8 x 1 5/8 (thick). Opening: 7 1/2 inches x 5 1/2 inches.
Condition: Very Good pre-owned. Frame has one slight "ding" at the back of the bottom left corner. Picture surface needs slight cleaning (no glass in frame) & there are a couple of very slight scuffs in the background. Copper areas are shiny with no visible scuffs. Reverse has original Studio label "Our Native Land, Handcrafted in Canada by Priddat's Studio". Bottom right of picture surface is etch-signed "Priddat".
This wonderful original copper acid etching is by Frederick (Fritz) Priddat of Priddat Studio. Priddat is an accomplished Inuit (subject matter) artist, residing on the West Coast of Canada, but born in Germany in 1924. Gold foil frame from the studio. Beautiful depiction of 3 Inuit hunters, their sled dogs, and their sled. Interesting background complements the picture well. EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO PHOTOGRAPH! Must be viewed in person to gain the full effect. Great piece of Canadiana Art!
