This delicate necklace is made of sea blue Chrysocolla and Alpaca Silver (it is not silver, rather an alloy of zinc, nickel and iron). No matter the composition this necklace is an intricate pattern of swirls and islands of sea blue building blocks. This necklace is a lovely example of the elaborate work that the Peruvian craftspeople produce without benefit of modern equipment.

When this 17 inch necklace is around your neck you will forget you have it on as its 0.55 ounces (16 grams) will float over your skin. The nlength of the center portion of this ebauty is is 2-1/2 inches which gives this piece beautiful proportions. This necklace would not be out of place at a formal affair.

As they are delicate care should be used when cleaning these intricate delights. One suggestion is to use a tooth brush or cloth dipped in detergent or several drops of lemon added to water. If care is taken this delight will be around for a long, long time.
