More about this item
This is a lovely artist signed Pfaltzgraff 3.25-quart stoneware lidded canister designed by Vickie Hanson and made in the USA. This canister, I believe, was part of a line called Spectrum and was produced between the years 1983-87. Please see my other listings for 2 larger matching canisters. The delightful little floral design consists of a central bunch of 3 purple flowers surrounded by single blossoms in colors of yellow, pink, blue, and violet. There is a nice hand painted green line around the rim and the bottom of the piece. The body of the canister has a subtle raised ringed texture. The floral motif is hand painted and the artist has signed the bottom of the piece. In this case, the artist’s name appears to be G. Crane. The designer Vickie Hanson has also added her initials to the piece. The bottom also bears the older impressed Pfaltzgraff castle logo and USA. The model number was hard to see but I believe it is 505. This canister stands close to 7.5” high including its lid and is about 5 3/8” high without the lid. The lid is a bit over 5” in diameter. The base measures 6.5” in diameter. This wonderful item is in excellent used condition and is free of chips, cracks, or crazing. The shipping weight will be 4 lbs. Thank you for looking.
