 Primitive AXE used by: Buffalo Hunters in the MontanaTerritory; circa 1868 that's 144 years old.

This has been in my family's collection since I can remember.
There is a handwritten "sticker" that gives information -- this was confirmed about 20 years ago, by a dealer who was living in Montana for over 20 years.

The sticker (photo 2) -- states:
"Brass tacks were a must to them"

I am not giving ANY guarantees as to the REAL history of this GREAT item

...but logic suggests the age and the wear and the work; all point to the truth of the statement on the sticker.
