This is a handmade Pulcinella with moveable arms and legs. The head, arms, and legs are hand painted terra cotta and his clothing is cotton cloth with some yellowing on the edges which is done deliberately.

He is  7" tall standing and 4" sitting. I have always been fascinated with the character Pulcinella. He is the "soul" of Naples. Italy always pictured around town. 

Pulcinella is the hero of the common Neapolitan. He cares not who he offends and always tell the truth. He cannot however, keep a secret. 

This would make a great gift or a gift to yourself. If you collect puppets or dolls he would be a great addition to a collection.
