A Special Thank to Anne Loughran Belfast Northern Ireland for providing me the following information:

“E. Patris, a Belgian artist of some distinction.  If you Google "Ernest Patris" (in quotes) it will bring up a lot about him.  Apparently he was a painter, sculptor and ceramicist.  Some of the Google entries carried photos of his sculptures (mostly busts) which are fairly naturalistic looking, but I came across some photos of his ceramic work which display a style very similar to that of your set and quite unlike his sculptures.”

Discription    4 PIECE SET: PITCHER AND 3 MUGS.

UNIQUE AND FABULOUS. EACH PIECE HAND CARVED WITH WHIMSICAL FACE. ALL VERY GOOD CONDITION.

PITCHER HANDLE HAS BEEN REPAIRED, PHOTO WITH ORANGE TAG MARKS REPAIR. MINOR CHIP ON CHIN OF ONE OF FACES AND TIP OF SPOUT. MUGS, NO CHIPS, CRACKS OR REPAIRS.

ADDITIONAL TOUCHUP WILL MAKE IT A TRUE FIND.

DIMENSIONS OF CUPS VARIES DUE TO HANDMADE: HEIGHT FROM 4" TO 41/4"; RIM: 3", WIDTH HANDLE TO FACE: 7", HEIGHT HANDLE 5" DIMENSION OF PITCHER: 14.5" TALL, WIDTH FROM SPOUT TO HANDLE 9.5".
