"NW COAST AMERICAN INDIAN LAUGHING MASK"
For your consideration . . . a "REPRODUCTION" Kwakiutl/Kwakwaka'wakw, North West Coast, American Indian Laughing mask . . . one that is most likely the product of a skilled, Indonesian craftsman. Though "NOT" created by an American Indian, the mask was hand carved and painted, inlaid with nacre/mother of pearl and adorned with horse hair . . . great care went into making this mask as authentic looking as possible. The mask measures approximately 8" long X 7-5/8" wide with a projection of 4" and would be considered in exceptional condition if it wasn't for a paint flake/rub on the bridge of the nose . . . see images for additional condition and detail information. Even though this Laughing mask is a "REPLICA", it has a strong presence that warrants attention.
