This painted carving is of a Hummingbird sitting on it's nest. It is about 4 inches long, 1 1/2 inches tall and 1 1/4 inches wide. This artist's signature "WM Ellis" is under the tail.


William Ellis had a shop in Advance, Missouri. My father bought many bird carvings from him, most which were sold in his antique shop in Marietta, PA. There were only a few left when he closed his shop.
