SCHRADER-UNIVERSAL - Tire Pressure Gauge - 1909 - 1916
A vintage Schrader Universal Tire Pressure Gauge crafted by A. Schrader's Sons, Inc., Brooklyn, NY. (Photos 1 - 3)
The Gauge is crafted in steel or some other magnetic metal or alloy.
It measures 2 1/2" long and 3/4" and 5/8" diameter at the ends.
It bears the Schrader Universal Tire Pressure Gauge mark shown in Photo 4 and the A. Schrader's Sons, Inc. and Patent dates of July 6, 1909 and March 28, 1916 shown in Photos 4 & 5.
Allegedly this Tire Pressure Gauge was crafted for the Ford Model T, which could be correct since the Model T was introduced in 1908.
This Tire Pressure Gauge is not new and is in excellent condition considering it's age. It has no damage but does have obvious staining, etc. Seller does not know if it works but when tried on my truck the "plunger" moved out to the "40" mark. Seller has no idea of the tire pressure used in Ford Model T's or other vehicles of that era. I'm just old not ancient. A vintage Schrader Univeral Tire Pressure Gauge crafted by A.
