This cute Pull Toy Roller-Animal Play Set is made by Schuco Germany and comes NIB (new in box). It dates from 1998. The bear stands on all four feet, is made from very soft short blonde plush and he has brown eyes and a black stitched nose. He stands approx. 4.25 inches tall and is approx. 8 inches long. The elephant is made from very soft grey plush and he has black button eyes set in white felt, and has a red felt lined open mouth. He stands approx. 5.75 inches tall and is approx. 12.5 inches long from the tip of his extended truck to his tail. Both the bear and the elephant have strong round magnets inside their 4 paw pads and this is how they stay attached to the metal pull toy frame for your child to play with. In the "olden" days, the Schuco Roller-Animals were permanently affixed to the metal frame. In this Play Set they are interchangeable!! A great idea! The metal frame has never been removed from the box and is still attached to the inner sleeve with the plastic lock tie! The shiny silver coloured metal frame has painted red wooden wheels and a long red vinyl lead/leash with a looped handle measuring approx. 23.25 inch long, for pulling either the bear or the elephant along! Both the elephant and the bear have their faux suede Schuco tags stitched to their tummies, and the outside of the box indicates this set is EAN # 09081. The inside thick cardboard sleeve insert of the box is white with the Schuco logo in red written all over the surface and is in as-new condition. The outer box is black with a wide acetate clear window and several red Schuco logos around the box. It measures approx. 16 x 5 x 5.75 inches. One end of the outer box is slightly damaged from storage with a tear and a dint in the cardboard and the edge of the cardboard along the acetate window shows some storage wear.
This is a gorgeous set and would make a wonderful gift! I believe the set was only available in Europe so is hard to find in N. America!!
