ADORABLE Rare BIGO BELLO SCHUCO Mouse - 60's Vintage - Made in West Germany - with seam label!!!
This is a rare, Hard to Find, BIGO BELLO MOUSE by Schuco and was made in West Germany in the 1960's. She is VERY CUTE and stands approx. 10 1/2 inches tall.
Mouse is made from lovely grey and white plush woven fur or dralon with grey felt ears and red felt shoes. She has black and white plastic eyes, and a little pink plastic nose. Her mouth is hand stitched with brown floss and she has a little red felt tongue. She is wearing a cute red and green cotton skirt trimmed with white rick rack and is tied with a somewhat faded pink silk ribbon. There is a slight seam tear between the ribbon and the skirt top edge which is approx. 3/4 inch long. I believe she once had a tail, but sadly she met the farmer's wife so is now missing her tail!!! Her arms and legs have wire inside for stability and for posing but she is unjointed. Her right ear has an extra piece of grey felt sewn to the back as a repair since both felt ears have some damage with small holes and missing edges and her right ear was a little more affected. Her red felt shoe on her right foot has a repair on the heel with a piece of extra red felt sewn on, and both shoes have some holes in the felt. Her feet are lined inside with thick cardboard so she can stand. She has her original white double seam tag with red print in the seam of her right hand!! The front says "Schuco Made in West Germany". The back fold is a little frayed but you can still make out "BIGO BELLO". She is in good clean vintage condition with no missing fur.
