~Sawtooth Stars~

This is my version of a very old quilt block "sawtooth stars". I just love all of the colors in this bright blanky and so will you and your baby!!

The quilt consists of 9 different stars with sashing in between separating the blocks, the sashing is a tiny print of miniature buttons in many different shapes and colors, the sashing squares are a pink and blue print.

Here's a description of each one of the stars beginning with the top left:

Ladybugs and swiss dots

Care Bears and teeny tiny floral

Butterflies and flowers with abstract wavy lines

Colored bubbles with mottled green

Scallops, stars, swirls, and wavy lines with purple bubbles

Silly puppy dogs with pink and yellow tiny stars

Stained glass and tiny fish

Raggedy Ann & Andy with red and white splotches

Lime and hot pink frogs with frog dots

This quilt is very visually stimulating for your little one with just about every color of the rainbow and can also double as a great teaching tool as well with all of the different colors and prints for them to learn to identify.

The backing of the quilt is yellow vintage chenille.

The quilt is machine quilted outlining each one of the stars and also at the sashing squares.

I have added a layer of low-loft quilt batting between the beautiful quilt top and bottom for extra warmth and softness.

This quilt measures 39 1/2" x 39 1/2".

The outside borders of the quilt and the binding are made with the brightly colored swirls, stars, scallops, and wavy lines print.
