Book Description
New York: J.F. Tapley, 1923. 331 Pages.
The paper used is of Ivory color India Bible. This was the first time in the history of paper manufacturing in the United States that such a paper was made. It is extremely light and thin, of the highest grade with great wearing qualities. Well-known English artist, Malcolm Thurburn, was commissioned to make the lettering, ornamentations, and the illustrations for the title pages, which are individual for each of the seven lessons.
The emblem of the Science of Being is stamped in pure gold on the cover, and all materials used in the making of the book are of the highest obtainable quality. Gold, which represents the pure Mental Ray, was taken as the basis for the color scheme of the book. In its most condensed shade of dark brown, it is used in the binding and in the general print of the book. In its golden shade it is used to emphasize important sentences.
The glittering golden print produces a very deep impression on the sub-consciousness of the reader, acting as a luminous sign, which engraves itself in fiery letters upon the mind. Page edges are also in gold color. Everyone in possession of this book will soon discover that merely to possess it is to have established a connecting link between Universal Life Energy and the individual who owns the book, or the house or office where it is kept.
It is advisable to carry the book with oneself whenever a business transaction or any important step is contemplated. The book will always act as an inspiring, harmonizing and protecting agent because of its actual connection with the pure magnetic vibrations of Universal Life Energy. -- This from the laid in brochure titled Information for the Reader.
