For framing, I would suggest either a warm color wood,
somewhere between a cherry & mahogany stain or color.
If you want a gorgeous hand built frame, I work with a custom frame maker, but then you'd almost want
to purchase the original! If you like metal, it could be an old gold. See what you feel and where it will go in your home
and decide from there. The best advice comes from within,
once ideas and considerations are thoroughly digested.

As for the mat color, depends on the frame.
Make it a good size to hold the space for the colors.
Archival mats last longer and I suggest them
wherever possible.

This original with warm color palette was created
in Ojai, California, where the energy of the mountains meets the heat of the sun, giving great breath,
to the nearby sagebrush canyons.
