This is a lovely set. It has almost a Victorian style to it with open back large warm smoky brown quartz (often mistakenly called smoky topaz) oval glass stones that are quite transparent. You can see how clear the stones are in the pictures. There is no such gemstone known as smoky topaz. Genuine Topaz does not come in shades of brown. The name smoky topaz became commonplace and is often mistakenly used today for the gemstone made from quartz. There are six prong set stones in the bracelet, with a matching stone for each clip on earring. This set is from the 1950s to early 1960s. It is designer quality, finely made, but it is unsigned. It measures approximately 7 1/4 inches in length and is 3/4 of an inch wide. Each earring is 1 inch by 3/4 inches. The set weighs 1.5 ounces on my postage scale, which converts to 42.52 grams.

This is in very good vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged pictures. The antiqued gold finish has a nice patina to it. There is some slight color loss on the gold tone metal finish where the silver color shows through, but you don't notice it without magnification. The stones are in great condition with only a couple of tiny surface scratches that you see only under magnification. The bracelet has a fold over clasp that works well. The clips on the earrings are fine, too.
