Western American Art Paintings. The Chiricahuas, the last hold of the Apache, is solitary and rugged. It's a hundred degrees, the cicadas are singing and the mid afternoon monsoon is building. And the Apache are waiting...for what? Who knows, but with the Apache, a calm always precedes the storm. This is a high quality Giclee print from an original acrylic painting. This print precisely captures every brush stroke and Gretchen's exceptional use of color. It comes from a limited edition of 100. The Giclee Print is signed and numbered by the artist Gretchen Price. The print is 16" by 20".

Gretchen Price received her art education from both the LA Art Center and Brigham Young University where she received a Bachelor degree in Fine Art. After finishing school, she and her whole clan returned to Arizona where two more children were added to her family. During this time she and her husband lived and taught school on the White Mountain Apache Indian Reservation. Gretchen developed a great love, insight, and sensitivity for the people and culture of the White Mountain Apache. She is a founding member of the Whiteriver Artist Association where recently, Tribal Chairman, Ronnie Lupe, expressed his appreciation for her paintings, saying they were masterful, wonderful and show the beauty of his reality. She and her husband, Mel, now reside in Mesa, Arizona.

 Retails for $599.99.
