Large 24" X 73"  (2' X 6') streetcar roll sign from the Cincinnati, Ohio area system. 
To indicate the destination of a Cable car, bus, trolley or subway, such signs were mounted on the front of the car and were changed by the driver for each route.

This is a recreation of an original streetcar/trolley roll sign taken directly from a car that operated on the Cincinnati, Ohio street railway system. I believe the sign dates from somewhere around the late 1930's into the 1940's. The destinations, car houses, car numbers and services include:
X ZOO, 46 VINE BURNET, CH AVONDALE CAR HOUSE, 47 AVONDALE WINTON PLACE, 40, AVONDALE, 41 AVONDALE CHESTER P'K, SPECIAL, NOT IN SERVICE, 27 5TH & BAYMILLER 27 EAST END LINWOOD, 28 EAST END CARREL, 28 4TH & JOHN, CH HYDE PARK CAR HOUSE .
The original sign was likely salvaged by an ex-employee during the 1965 conversion period to diesel buses. The system unfortunately stopped operating many years ago.
