More about this item
The Viewfinder II shows a woman looking at...what? It is not the Statue Of Liberty. There is a split sky.... Enigma. But New York City! This is on the ferry from Manhattan to Staten Island. Some people read a political comment into it, especially because the Statue of Liberty is seen against the darker part of the sky. So it introduces the series of paintings I call "Issues of Our Time." This series allows me to respond to the world in the great tradition of the Masters. It is my attempt to connect and invite connection. The painting is acrylic on stretched canvas, 25 inches high by 34 inches wide, on heavy duty stretchers, with painted sides. A frame is not necessary. It is signed and dated on the back. I send a letter of provenance which increases the value of the work. All my artwork is copyrighted by Eleanor Gilpatrick. Copyright is nontransferable through the purchase of artwork. Free shipping in the United States.
