 Attention collectors, cowhorse, reiners, and pleasure riders!  For your consideration, a vintage TEX TAN IMPERIAL saddle built specifically to honor Tex Tan's 50th Anniversary in 1969.  This 40 year old+ buckstitched show saddle is so comfortable and would make a great everyday work saddle, but it's still attractive enough to take to the show ring too.   The left fender is stamped with the serial number 50V 120-22865 on the back side as shown in the close up photos.   The saddle has eight German Silver and Bronze conchos that still polish up beautifully, and a sterling silver scalloped horn cap.   The left fender was torn above the stirrup and under the front jockey and was expertly repaired as shown in the close up photos by master saddle maker S.J. Arnew who also replaced the seat in the 1980's.  This fully engraved saddle is pretty enough to show in with eight engraved German silver conchos, and comfortable enough to ride in every day as a great work saddle.  Although this saddle does show some wear (much of the buckstitching is worn), there are still many comfortable miles left in this saddle.  The tree is in great shape, as is the seat and leather.

     The serial number on this saddle is located under the left fender and is 50v 120-22865.   This saddle has a 3/4 rigging with a 15-1/2 inch seat, 6 inch measurement across the gullet, and a medium oil finish that has darkened to a rich patina.  The saddle blanket shown is NOT included, and was used for the photo shoot only.  Shipping insurance is required on this sale.
