Various Sioux Native American Costume PiecesBasket Necklaces, headbands, Pow Wow scarves costume accessories, (Many with intricate beading). Other items include (2) Pairs of moccasins, rabbit fur hat, pair of beaded leggings/chaps, pair of goat horns birch bark with porcupine quill covered bowl, two sets of hand quilted loin cloths, leather wrist bells, poncho, etc. These were made during various time periods ranging from the 1930s to as late as the mid-1960s by the Sioux Indian women and given to Leonard Pickett Master of Ceremonies. Leonard was part Indian from Ogallala Sioux. He was also Master of Ceremonies at Standrock Indian Ceremonies at Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. He was born in 1919 and died in 1983. I've included an old photo of Mr. Pickett that I cropped. They were not stored especially well and show wear, but my wife worked hard to clean restore them as best as she could -she does well with leather- [especially the moccasins, which are worn through on the bottom hat fur, which I believe is rabbit, is coming loose]. Also included is a handmade basket by Native American Marie Whiteagle from Sioux 1967. Basket measures 10" h x 18" w x 14" – This lot will ship via UPS.
