Beautiful Enamelled Cookware Stew Pot SAUCEPAN & LID - by VILLEROY & BOCH, Germany - 2 quart size - Pattern: Design "BASKET" - no signs of use!!! - HTF (hard to find)
This pretty enamelled cook pot is by VILLEROY & BOCH, Germany and is in the pattern "Design Basket". Capacity (I measured it) is just over 2 quarts. The interior, lid lining, and the base is black, and the outside is off-white/ecru with a dark green lattice and baskets of colourful fruit. VERY HTF item! There are no signs of use! No scorching, no scratching, and the chrome edging on the top pot rim and lid rim is unblemished! The lid handle and the double side handles are a heavy plastic in off-white/ecru. The side handles are slightly discoloured, possibly from being in a working kitchen rather than from use and may scrub clean. The backstamp on the bottom of the pot is in white and is easy to read (it cannot have ever been on a stove burner!!) and says "Fur Ceran, Felder, und alle Herdarten, Design Basket, Villeroy & Boch, Made in Germany by Prinz". The pot is VERY HEAVY, weighing 4 lbs before packing. It stands approx. 6 1/2 inches tall to the top of the lid knob, and about 3 5/8 inches without the lid. The base diameter and top diameter is approx. 8 3/4 inches and it measures about 12 inches across from the end of one handle to the end of the other handle. This pattern is almost impossible to find in North America, especially in such excellent unused condition! The production years are 1983 to 2007. A great item!
