Vintage Sterling round engraved powder vanity compact made by Birks, Canada's premier retailer of fine Jewelry/Silverware since 1800's 54 grams circa 1940's
A fine quality vintage Sterling round hand engraved with swirls, foliage and flower compact in very good to excellent condition.
The compact is 2-1/2" diameter  has fine Victorian style engraving on the top side,  there is no puff  or powder screen. The back has the initials "L H M" and June 2nd 1945 it is also marked BIRKS STERLING . 
The mirror is clear with a few faint white spots, no scrapes, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs the hinge is tight 
and secure.
Beautiful piece to add to your vintage vanity collection or to carry in your purse !
