THERE ARE SOME ISSUES WITH THIS COAT, SO PLEASE READ ON

HISTORY/CONDITION: I have NO idea of when I got this.  I think I may have had it since the EARLY 80s or possibly longer!  Since I am not an authority on vintage clothing nor on Burberry, I cannot give you a specific date for this style, but I can tell you that it must be earlier than the 80s, possibly 60s 70s.  It's quite cute and after a nice drycleaning, I think it may be even cuter. It has the plaid Burberry plaid lining, double breasted closure, back vent and top placket as well as sleeve cinches.  A simple and classic design and appearance.

I would call this "Good Vintage condition." It has some issues, needs to be dry cleaned, but still maintains a wearable nature.

ISSUES: I have photos of the issues mentioned, and ENCOURAGE you to request these photos BEFORE you make a purchase. 

First, there is an orange-tinged stain to one of the collar lapels.  This many NOT be fixable when drycleaned.  While you may opt to wear a brooch over the area, please know that this discoloration may be permannent; photo available for further inspection.

Also, the leather-covered metal slides on the sleeve cinches AND on the belt are damaged.  These can be replaced, but cannot be fixed, as the leather is absent.  photos available

This has been stored for a minimum of 20 years and really should be cleaned. I have made sure to keep the price of this garment lower than the usual price for similar items to account for the need to clean and possibly replace the metal bits.

The price reflects the damage and condition.

MEASUREMENTS ETC: All are taken with garment buttoned CLOSED and un-stretched.  This IS NOT stretch fabric, so please stick closely to these measurements

LENGTH: FRONT measured from lowest point of fully closed collar is 36.5 inches.  From collar to hemline in BACK is 39 inches

BUST (UNDERARM TO UNDERARM): 17 inches across

WAIST: The waist area is a hair over 14 inches measured across the fully buttoned coat above pocket area

HIP AREA: about 16 inches across (sort of mid-pocket area)

HEMLINE: across the bottom 24 inches more or less

SHOULDER TO SHOULDER: seam to seam is about 15.5 inches.

SLEEVES: from collar seam to end of cuff is 27 inches

SLEEVE OUTSEAM: shoulder seam to end of cuff is 23.5 inches

SLEEVE INSEAM: Underarm seam to end of cuff is 15 inches

ARM OPENING: measured across the fully opened cuff is 5 inches

SLIT/BACK VENT: 17 inches long

TAG information:  No size tag to be found. Photos provided here of the tags that are on the coat.  One is the Burberry tag at the collar area: BURBERRYS MADE IN ENGLAND.  The other is found left side interior -TERYLENE & COTTON  67% polyester 33% cotton, dryclean only.
