More about this item
Vintage Brown Enamel Picnic Jug Aluminum Lid Stoneware Liner
This is probably circa 1950s. Brown and tan enamel exterior, aluminum screw on lid and lid liner, stoneware liner, bale with black painted wood handle. 8 in tall x 8 in diameter.
The outside shows some wear, normal dents, scuffs and checkered finish. The bottom is rusty as are the brackets that hold on the bale. The lid has a few dents and the inner lid does not have its rubber seal. This should be easy to replace. The stoneware liner is pristine, no chips, cracks, or discoloration.
This is not the typical green jug of the 50s but a brown with a tan center detail. Wonderful vintage item for display with your camping collectibles or use as a decoration at your next picnic or barbecue. I would imagine this could even be used if a new rubber ring can be found. Nothing keeps beverages cooler than stoneware.
