Ancient box of Gibson hand made 5 string banjo strings from Kalamzoo, Michigan.  Package says "one set, No. F-571, fo rthe 5 string folk banjo with wound third."  Now, I am not musical (my grandpa sure was), so I have no idea what a wound third might be.  Set is as pictured and contains a ."  second, third, fourth, fifth and a "plectrum & 5 string banjo C or 4th, Wound."   So I am not even sure if this is, indeed, a full "set" of banjo strings!  Found it cleaning out cabinets in preparation for my move earlier this year.
