This is a great vintage Baby Grand Piano Box Charm or Pendant with a moveable top. The top of the piano has four multi colored prong set rhinestones and the keys are made of 7 yellow baguettes. The top is hinged and opens up to reveal 4 more multi-color rhinestones inside. There is a safety catch that holds the lid tightly closed. At the base of each of the three legs is a tiny seed pearl held by the claw feet. The legs allow the piano to stand on it's own. This is an exceptionally well crafted and fully dimensional form of a grand piano that is beautifully detailed.

I am listing this as a piece of costume jewelry. I have only seen this quality of a charm in 14K gold, but this is unmarked so it is most likely gold plate or a lesser karat of gold. For a costume jewelry charm this has amazing detail. It is hard to believe that someone would make a costume jewelry piece with all of this exceptional detail. I have not found another one quite like it. You can see the details in the enlarged photographs.

This is in very good vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged pictures. It measures approximately 1 inch by 1 inch. It stands 3/4 of an inch tall. (this is measured closed – much larger when opened). There is some slight tarnishing to the gold finish and surface scratches that you don't really notice without the magnification. The piano key baguettes aren't as shiny as they probably were originally. All the stones are secure and intact.

This would make a unique addition to a musical charm collection or your charm bracelet.
