More about this item

Hall China teapot Hollywood 4 cup with strainer maroon and white good used condition shipping weight 3.5 lb For your consideration is this lovely Hall China Co teapot in the Hollywood shape. It is stock maroon color with a white interior and has a nice feature of strainer holes in the interior wall at the base of the pouring spout. The teapot measures 10.5" from tip of spout to outer edge of handle. It stands 6.75" high to the top of the lid's knob. The body of the teapot is 5" by 6". The base measures 3.5" by 3.75". The opening measures 4.25" by 3.25". As with all Hall China pieces, this one is quite substantial and weighs about 2.5lbs. It is in good used condition. There is manufacturing flaw on the front which appears to be a glaze miss with the maroon color being slightly lighter under the glaze in this area. When you remove the lid, you will see a portion of the inner rim is missing. It looks like there were 3 chips there in the lower left part of the opening. Please note, however, that these are not visible when the lid is in place. I don't think this flaw will affect use of the teapot and,if you are buying for display only, definitely won't matter. The bottom of the teapot bears the circular Hall made in USA stamp that dates this piece to sometime between 1930 and 1970. Thank you for looking.
