Vintage Aigner Jacket 70's Leather Blazer Oxblood Jacket Women S

VINTAGE ETIENNE AIGNER OXBLOOD LEATHER BLAZER JACKET  :: LOGO FABRIC LINED WITH LOTS OF STITCHING + DETAIL :: EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION  :: SIZED AS VINTAGE 8, BUT PLEASE READ THE MEASUREMENTS, AS THIS IS SUBSTANTIALLY SMALLER THAN THE SIZE 8 OF TODAY.

HISTORY/CONDITION: I have had this divine vintage jacket for years! As I am cutting down on my wardrobe before I move, this is one of many really cute pieces that must find a new home.

I cannot recall where I got this or exactly when -- maybe in the late 80s at a second hand shop in Otown. For reference, I am a size 0 or less, and this actually fits me pretty nicely with the exception of the sleeves being too long. So despite the fact that the tag says "8", this is going to be more of a 0-2 type size (my opinion).

IMPORTANT INFO:

The lining is clean and has a logo fabric.  There are a LOT of vintage Aigner blazers out there, but THIS one has a LOT more detail than many of them.  Also, the leather is very nice - not stiff or crusty in any way.  It is quite soft, though not fully "buttery," and is very "hipster" and striking when worn. There are 2 front hip pockets with cool stitch detail, as well as an upper left pocket which has a nice signature ornament -- note that some of the cheaper and later blazers by Aigner have an ornament which is much more flimsy.

Also, this blazer has a faux button loop atop one of the lapel notches (a detail you do not see in the later/cheaper blazers).  The breast area is nicely darted, and the front lower area is rounded.  The 2 button closure in front is in great shape, and you will also note that the 2 original extra buttons also remain within the coat. The sleeves each have 2 buttons -- one button on the left side does need to be repaired, as it is detaching from the back side of the sleeve. It is currently knotted, so it should not fall off any time soon.

The back has a faux slit or vent -- meaning that the vent is just a pleated slit which does not expose your rump to the cold as would a true vent. There is one interior pocket which is leather trimmed. Care tag, size tag etc all in place in in great shape as well.  !00% wearable and in very good vintage shape.

MEASUREMENTS ETC: All are taken with garment buttoned CLOSED and un-stretched.

LENGTH: FRONT measured from lowest point in notched collar is 19 inches.  From collar seam to hemline in BACK is 27 inches

BUST (UNDERARM TO UNDERARM): 17 inches across

WAIST: 15.5 inches across at waist

HIP/HEMLINE: approx 17 inches across

SHOULDER TO SHOULDER: seam to seam is about 16 inches.

SLEEVES: collar to end of sleeve is 30 inches.  shoulder seam to end of sleeve is  24 inches. Underarm seam to end of sleeve is  16 inches.

ARMHOLE is 5 inches across

VENT: faux vent measures 9 inches long

DETAILS: Tag says "8", but this is the vintage size and DOES NOT APPLY to today's sizing. Again, I am a 0 or less and this fits nicely when I wear a light sweater or thermal type top underneath.

TAG information:  See above info

A very nice example of the Etienne Aigner Leather Blazer in the "oxblood" color.  Some folks think of this as a maroon, a reddish brown, a burgundy etc... it's a perfect color for giving off the "vintage vibes"! There is some wiggle room on the price, but not a whole lot.  Please contact me with any questions or suggestions you may have.

BLAH BLAH BLAH: Ripping out my listings as quick as possible, so please ignore my "ugly" old school non-template style and absence of "rich imagery" in the photos.  I have hundreds of things to get listed, and not a lot of time or energy to git r done! Plus, I am working without assistance... so if you have questions, concerns, want MORE pics or info, do it old school and just contact me!  :)  I am here to help you and am quite friendly!

SALES ARE FINAL, so please read this listing and make sure to ask questions etc before you purchase.

PAYMENT: Please use whatever payment methods you see advertised.  Orders in excess of $200 MAY be authorized for postal money order.. but other than that NO mail-in payment can be accepted, Babies!

SHIPPING:

USA: Free ship includes priority mail in Priority mailing box.

FOREIGN LANDS: please contact me for shipping price for your country. I DO ship overseas, and i DO combine shipping.

NOTES: Luxe, here! Thanks for visiting my BONANZA Shop! Here you will find my PERSONAL items -- these are not things I thrifted, but things from my personal home and wardrobe. I know the complete history of most of them. You are invited to ask questions BEFORE you purchase. I am glad to assist you. I ALWAYS have more pictures ready for you to see - just ask. It is important for you to know that my home IS a SMOKING and DOG-dwelling home. While the items here have been stored for AGES in an area where no smoking takes place, AND where Fudgy (the dog) does not go, you may be one of those folks who can detect micro-particles and allergens. I would ask that you DO NOT purchase from my shop if you are sensitive to aromas, allergens, smoke and dust. As you can see from some of the pics, I LIVE in the desert - the windy high desert ON A DIRT ROAD. It is dusty here. ALL VINTAGE SALES ARE FINAL, so please buy with care. That said, I hope you enjoy my shop and bookmark it for future enjoyment -- ESPECIALLY if you are petite and like clothing from the 70s, 80s, 90s.
