This is a medium weight black wool felt hat from Pappagallo circa mid 1980's.  It was designed by George W. Bollman & Company.  The hat can be worn as a cloche (uncreased) or as a fedora.  The rim has an unusual zigzag edge.  The hatband is solidly attached at 2 places with black felt bands- a dark grey grosgrain ribbon tucked under a black wool felt strip with the same zigzag edge.  The hat is unlined and has its original designer's label attached and  its original orange grosgrain sweatban.  The inside of the crown has a stamped symbol and reads "The K 100% wool felt Geo. W. Bollman & Co'.  The hat is "rollable" so its great for travel.

Size: There is no size label so please see my measurements:
internal diameter 21 1/2"
brim width 3" at front & 2" at back
crown height 5 1/2" when not creased;  about 5" when creased

Condition: This is in great vintage condition with no damage that I can see.  There is old glue residue to the underside of the designer label which has yellowed over time.  The wool felt is a bit like velcro and tends to attract lint, etc.
